Casting Pewter Used as inexpensive casting metal. Can be oxidized or antiqued, as well as plated. The metal is tarnish resistant and will not discolour when heated. It will come out of investment bright and shiny, reducing the need for stripping or pickling. Can be electroplated and soldered with gold or silver solder. Pewter is lead-free and melts at about 450°F (232°C). An excellent metal for small sculptures. 1 lb (454g) supplied.
