Our History
PERRIN’s story began in 1911 when Herman Perrin left Switzerland for Canada to lead the watch repair department at Eaton’s. Recognizing the need for quality parts, he soon began importing and selling balance staffs, mainsprings, and crowns, gradually expanding to other essential watch components. In 1929, Herman partnered with his nephew William to form H. & W. Perrin Co. Ltd.
The legacy continued with Edmond Perrin, who emphasized knowledgeable, friendly, and dependable service. In the 1970s and 1980s, Edmond’s sons, Maurice and Edmond Jr., joined the company, upholding these core values. From the late 1990s until July 2024, under the leadership of Maurice and Edmond Jr., H. & W. Perrin Co. Ltd. thrived, growing in reputation and service excellence. Their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction became the hallmark of the company’s success.
In July 2024, PERRIN was acquired by Perrin Supply Ltd. With a new team taking the helm, at a new location in Surrey BC. We remain committed to delivering the same high-quality products and exceptional service that have been the cornerstone of PERRIN for decades. As long-time customers and beneficiaries of PERRIN’s products ourselves, we understand the challenges of the watch and jewelry industry, and we recognize the importance of reliable service and good value.
From its humble beginnings, PERRIN has grown into Canada’s leading suppliers of watch and clock materials, offering a full range of tools, supplies, and equipment for watchmakers, clockmakers, jewellers, and fine technicians.
